Praise for My Books

"Manreet Sodhi Someshwar is a gifted writer of great promise. I have a gut feeling we have a new star rising in Punjab's literary horizon. She has an excellent command of English and a sly sense of humour."
- Khushwant Singh on The Long Walk Home

"An enjoyable tale of a sassy girl's headlong race up the corporate ladder."

Arab Apathy and Trump Tantrum

What is wrong with the Arab world? When Assad gasses his own people, the Arab leaders are mute. When Trump launches missiles on Syria without any plan whatsoever on how he'll deal with its aftermath, the Arab leaders crow in praise.

Wars don't happen between nations, they happen between megalomaniacs, those near-sighted, dim-witted men who cannot see beyond their noses, whose hands are trigger-happy because they have to continually demonstrate that they are indeed in possession of functioning apparatus.

Meanwhile, there are babies to be buried and families to be mourned and scarce rations to be procured because the thing with life is that the living do not die with the dead - somebody has to bear the terrible burden of grieving with every breath.

It truly is an effed up world.
