The last six months since the release of my latest,
The Taj Conspiracy, I have been in a whirlwind of book launches, readings, media interviews and other promotional activities - all of which is de rigeur for an author with a new book out. No complaints, it's been fun, and I have stolen in my writing as and when :)
Some of you have written in enquiring if I am also planning to run a contest on my blog? Well, guess what - I am! And it is here now...

So, how does the contest work?
1. First, look at the 3 pictures below:
2. Write a short story, not exceeding 350 words, using all three pictures in some way in your story. You may, for instance, use the word 'scarlet' or 'Taj' or the entire phrase 'The Taj Conspiracy'. Or reference the bare-backed girl with the tatoo. Or leverage Ms Mantel's advice to 'Drink Blood'. Be creative, have fun - just remember to use all 3 pics in some way in your story!
3. Post the story on your blog but make sure to link back to this post in a message below so I know where to find you. And, if you'd be so kind, link to this post from somewhere within your own post. You can also post a link to your entry on
